Dear Families & Students,
Welcome! I am so glad that you have chosen to study Spanish. It can help you in many ways…to communicate with friends and family, at work, for entrance to college, and it is just fun! In order to learn a second language you will need to practice, practice, practice! We will learn a large amount of vocabulary this year and you will need to keep up.
You should plan on spending about 10 minutes a day on vocabulary study. If we do not have a written or on-line assignment, you should still be studying on your own. Use our websites – conjuguemos.com or quizlet.com. They are excellent tools that will help you. Small doses of studying throughout the week are the best way to learn and remember your vocabulary.
Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or concerns. E-mail works best: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make sure that your student gave me your e-mail address. I will be sending out updates about class throughout the year. I am also happy to talk with you on the phone; I just don’t always get to my voicemail as quickly. Here is my schedule if you do need to call during the day:
1st hour 7:40 - 8:35 Spanish 1
2nd hour 8:40-9:30 PLANNING
3rd hour 9:35-10:25 Spanish 2
